What are the Hong Kong helmet safety certifications?

There are 15 types of helmet safety certifications recognized in Hong Kong (refer to the "Road Traffic (Safety Equipment) Regulations" ). There are three most common types in the market: DOT, ECE, and JIS. In addition, there are third-party certifications other than statutory certifications such as SNELL.

DOT is the American helmet safety standard, ECE is the European helmet safety standard, and JIS is the Japanese industrial safety standard. All three are the "most basic" safety standards set by the governments of designated countries. As for SNELL, it is a third-party certification approved by an independent authority.
