Helmet Shell Cleaning

• Preparation in advance: soft and fine fiber cloth, neutral detergent, room temperature water

First of all, in the part of the helmet shell, you can prepare a special cloth for cleaning the helmet, with soft and fine fibers, neutral detergent, and moderate temperature water. If you just want to simply clean up the stains on the exterior and have no intention of cleaning the inner lining, you can add moderate-temperature water and a neutral detergent to the water pan, then put a microfiber cloth into the water, and then wipe the helmet with a rag.

Helmet Deep Cleaning/Lens Cleaning

• Prepare in advance: microfiber cloth, neutral detergent, room temperature water, toothbrush, water tray, air gun (if any)

If you want a more thorough cleaning, it is recommended that you remove the lining and lenses first. You can directly rinse the surface of the helmet with water at a moderate temperature, add an appropriate amount of neutral detergent, and gently brush the dirt with a toothbrush. In the air intake and other parts, the toothbrush will help you clean the helmet more deeply. For the lens part, soak it in a water tray with a neutral detergent for about five to ten minutes. If you have a blower, you can also use a blower to clean the air intake.

After the above steps are completed, you can dry the lens with a microfiber cloth, or directly dry the lens in a cool place to avoid any scratches on the lens. The part of the helmet shell can also be wiped dry with a microfiber cloth, but avoid excessive force and damage to the gold oil layer of the helmet.

Cleaning the inside of the helmet

Lining wet cleaning

• Steps: soak > wash > dry in the shade

• Time required: at least half a day even in the shade

There are two main cleaning methods for the helmet lining, one is wet cleaning and the other is dry cleaning. For the wet cleaning part, first, you can remove the lining, and then soak the lining in a normal-temperature water tray containing a neutral detergent for 10-30 minutes (depending on how long you have washed it). After soaking, you can gently press the lining sponge with your hands, but it is best to keep gentle strength to avoid damage to the sponge. After washing, please put the lining in a cool place to dry, avoid drying and drying.

Lining Dry Cleaning

• Steps: Spray on dry cleaning spray > Wipe with a rag

• Time required: within five minutes
